Update on the Sephora PLAY! April products….

img_2106

So I wanted to give an update on the products that I received in my April Sephora PLAY! subscription that I previously talked about in the blog post that I wrote showing you the products.

The Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask (full-size price, 3.3 oz/100 mL for $62)

This mask was really nice, it provided moisture and exfoliation to my face. All you have to do is put it on your face for around 5-10 minutes, and then wash it off, and in doing so, you rub the exfoliating particles into your skin to take off the mask with warm water. I found that this left my skin really soft, but I’m going to stick to the deluxe size sample that I got in the box because I honestly can’t see myself buying the full-size product for $62.  Even the 1 oz container of the product, at $25 seems too much. Even though it’s nice to have a product that exfoliates and moisturizes, I would rather just use a simple exfoliant and then moisturize my face afterward.

Urban Decay Hi-Fi Sing Ultra Cushion lipgloss, in the shade SPL, (full-size, $20)

This lipgloss is pretty don’t get me wrong. It gives off a nice sparkly pink look that looks great as a lip-topper. But I’m not really much of a lipgloss person, so I wouldn’t go out and buy this, and if I was into lipglosses I would just buy one from the drugstore.

Miu Miu L’eau Rosee Perfume (full-size, $28)

This perfume is so good! I have a whole bunch of deluxe size perfumes from a Sephora perfume sampler that I bought in January, but I would definitely purchase this perfume because it smells like you rolled around in roses. The staying power of this perfume to is fantastic because after a good 10-hour wear I could still smell it on me.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder (full-sized, $29).

Personally, I don’t support the brand It Cosmetics, but I did try and product, and it did blur my pores all over my face. I like the product but I wouldn’t buy the full-sized product because of the lack of diversity in It Cosmetics products. But I will finish the product once I finish the other powders that I’m working on in a year-long project 18 pan.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Perfector Blurring Skin Tint, with SPF 25 (full-size, $36)

This is the second product that I have received from the brand through the Sephora PLAY! subscription box. This is supposed to be a light skin tint and it is. And it wears beautifully on my skin, even though the shade is not quite right for my skin tone, (I usually wear classic ivory in foundations) but I made it work. There is a fragrance that the product has that I felt was overwhelming but soon dissipated (thank god). The smell reminded me of the It Cosmetics CC cream. But despite the scent, I would buy the full-size product because it wears nicely throughout the day and it is buildable.

I hope you guys liked this update on last month’s Sephora PLAY! Subscription unboxing of the products!
