September Sephora PLAY! Subscription Review

Sorry that this post is kinda late (since as I’m writing this, it’s October 2nd) but I wanted to give myself some time to really use the products so I could give you guys my thoughts on them.

Sephora Collection Lashcraft Big Volume Mascara

This mascara has a similar wand to the Loreal Paris lash paradise mascara. What this mascara has is jojoba oil which helps to prevent clumps, smudges, and flakes. And with using this for about a week I can say that yes it doesn’t do that at all, no smudges, clumps or flakes.

Too Faced Hangover RX face Primer

This primer is something that I didn’t want to like the last time I got a sample, but I was very happy to see this primer in my bag this month.  Because has coconut water in it, which I think makes it even more moisturizing. And really does help my makeup stay throughout the days this past week even in the California heat, which surprised me because there usually is a little sign of wear on my makeup after a full day of work, but my makeup stayed in place and I think it was because of this primer.

Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly

This hydrating jelly is something I have never seen before. And really intrigued me when I got the box in the mail. I used this in conjunction with the serum that is in this box as well. With my combo skin, I can say that it really did hydrate my skin. I would apply this morning and night, and I can say that when I applied it at night, the next morning I could feel the hydrating effects and see them as well.

Belif- The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb

This cream was something I loved receiving again. Because I got a bigger sample of this in a couple boxes back. And this particular formula is for combo skin, which I love. And getting this in the box reminded me that I loved this moisturizer and definitely will be repurchasing the full-size.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon, Earthquake

I’m usually not a fan of eyeliner (because every one of them seems to run into the corners of my eyes at the end of the day.) But this one doesn’t do that! Because this gel matte eyeliner from Marc Jacobs sets on the eyes and stays in place for up to 12 hours. And I love that this month it wasn’t a black eyeliner, but a nice dark brown color (cause let me tell you I have so many black eyeliners from this subscription boxes).

Ole Hendricken Truth Serum

This serum is great! Now I know why people rave about Ole Henricksen. This serum was what I used for a week in conjunction with the Clinique hydrating jelly. I love that this serum has vitamin C (because it smells like oranges a bit and it’s amazing) and it also contains collagen as well. Which explains why I saw results overnight practically with how my skin’s texture seemed to improve.

So that was my review of the products that I received in my September Sephora PLAY! box. Hope you guys like it and I’ll see you in my next post!

    1. I know right? I think that trial size mascaras are so awesome to have cause with say a full-size mascara, it seems to just dry up quicker. And the clinique hydrating jelly and the olehendricken serum are something that is going to last me a really long time because you don’t need that much for the entire face. Thank you for your comment!
