*This blog post was supposed to go up at the end of June, but I was out of town and forgot, but here are my thoughts on the products that I got in my June 2018 Sephora PLAY! Subscription.
BVLGARI-Omnia Pink Sapphire perfume ($84 for 2.2 oz or $68 for 1.32 oz)
This perfume is perfect for summer with the very floral scents. Using this for the past couple of months in lieu of my regular perfume has been a nice change of pace. Would I purchase the perfume? I have many sample sizes and I do have a coupon to redeem a full-size perfume from Sephora, so I’ll have to see which ones I like the most, which will probably take awhile.
Verb- Sea Spray ($16 for 6.3 oz)
Although my hair is on the thicker side, I do like to use texturizing sprays. This mini size is perfect for traveling or to just try the spray and see if you like it. I have been using it and it does not leave my hair feeling full of product and has given my naturally wavy hair some more waves. All in all, I have really liked this sea spray.
Sol De Janeiro-Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($45 for 8.1 oz or $20 for 2.5 oz)
I finally understand the hype over this product! While it is the mini size, I find that the smell is not overwhelming at all. I have used it on my hands as a moisturizer and also on my thighs for some stretch marks, and I found that there has been a tightening effect. What I love the most is that the cream sinks into the skin fairly quickly. So I think after I use up this mini size I would like to purchase this again.
Becca-First Light Priming Face Filter Primer ( $38 for 1oz or $18 for 0.5 oz)
While this primer is so hyped up within the beauty community on youtube, I found that this primer sample was not even full when I got it. And when I did use it I found that it did not moisturize my skin at all and did not give it the glow that everyone has talked about. I would not purchase the full-size of this product.
Clinique-Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips ( $26 for 6.7 oz, $19 for 4.2 oz, or $9.50 for 1.60 oz)
This makeup remover was great! I really like it because I can use all over my face, and it’s always nice to have a makeup remover that is on the smaller size for traveling.
Cover FX- Power Play Foundation ($44 for 1.18 oz)
This foundation was very matte, and if it was my shade because it seems that I always get the very warm undertoned foundations, I might like it more. I think for me to fully like this foundation I think I would have to play around with primers since this is so matte, and maybe combine it with a moisturizing primer along with it.
Sorry that this blog post is so late, but the July box will be coming in a few days so I will give an explanation of the products and come back within a week or 2 of trying the products out to give you guys my thoughts on them.
See you guys in the next blog post and don’t forget to follow me on social media!
